Singapore-based Portek International finished 2005 by announcing S$17 mill worth of new orders for equipment and engineering services, on top of contracts worth S$19.2 mill announced earlier in the year. The generally buoyant market and the flood of crane replacements along the US East Coast in particular is generating opportunities and Portek has engaged well-known industry figure Dave Rudolph as a consultant to help realise opportunities.
