Independent consultants appointed by Sydney Ports Corporation (SPC) to review expansion plans for Port Botany container terminals ahead of the resumption of a state government inquiry into the project on October 19, have given the SPC’s preferred option the highest rating.

PricewaterhouseCoopers and GHD evaluated a total of 11 options – reduced to a shortlist of five – before concluding that SPC’s proposal of a single 60 hectare expansion north of the existing Patrick terminal scored best.
