Kuwait to build US$2 bill container port

The government of Kuwait has prequalified 17 international and domestic companies to bid for the first phase of a US$2 bill container port to be built on Bubiyan Island, which lies between Iraq, Iran and Kuwait (see WorldCargo News September 2003, p5).
