In what could be a major breakthrough, a Chilean terminal has handled the first ever call by a gearless containership in a Chilean port. Ironically, the 1500 TEUfully-cellular HARMONY CONTAINER operated by Kien Hung (represented in Chile by Ian Taylor y Cia SA), called at Iquique Terminal Internacional (ITI), which is operated with harbour mobiles rather than dedicated ship-to-shore container cranes (as installed in San Antonio).
