Montreal port labour dispute continues with new strike
NewsCUPE 375 has issued a 24-hour strike notice from 7 a.m. Sunday, 27 October, affecting all operations at the Port of Montreal.
Outlook is Fair for Maher
The Prince Rupert Port Authority has announced that funding has been secured for the (virtually) “all rail” Fairview Container Terminal which, as previously reported, will be managed and operated as a common user facility by Maher Terminals, Inc. Demolition work at Fairview will begin next month and construction of the new container terminal will begin in May.
