Korean software developer Total Soft Bank (TSB) is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a new contract to install its CATOS TOS at Bangkok Container Terminal

Port Authority of Thailand (PAT) has selected the TERANET-TSB consortium of Western Integration, Teranet Asia and TSB for the project which it expects will deliver a fully integrated system from one window.

The contract is TSB’s third in Thailand and follows more recent successes in Gothenburg and Ports of Auckland Ltd (WorldCargo News, October 2008, p25).

As reported, the Gothenburg project will include TSB’s ‘Web-TOS’; a web-based TOS that enables users to deploy the application anywhere over the internet. Built on Web 2.0 technology, Web-TOS is ideally suited to small and medium sized terminals that can use a web server to extend management functions and more advanced features like berth planning as users require.

Web-TOS features will be used for TSB customers including Johor Port Bhd, which is installing TSB’s MOST (Multi-purpose Operation System) for mixed cargo terminals and Gothenburg which will use Web-TOS to provide customised multi-lingual features.
