The Port of Baltimore has secured a US$ 31m grant for the Dundalk Terminal upgrade as the port recovers from the Francis Scott Key Bridge collapse, now handling 90% of the ships it managed a year ago.

An insurance package worth up to US$ 50 million has been brought to the market by Marsh, available to shipping ports and terminals around the world.

As far as can be determined, the design of both the Key Bridge and the Chesapeake Bay Bridge in Baltimore has never been identified as an issue.

No new export or import bookings will be accepted to Baltimore until further notice. Alternate discharge ports will be available including Norfolk or New York.
