ZPMC to supply STS & RTG cranes for AD Ports’ projects in Africa
NewsZPMC has won a major contract with AD Ports Group for terminal projects in Africa.
KEZAD Group, which is a part of the Economic Cities & Free Zones division (ECFZ) of the AD Ports Group, is transferring approximately 500,000 m2 of its warehousing and logistics assets to KEZAD Assets Management Company (KAMC).
In addition, 250,000 m2 of property under development and scheduled to be commissioned by 2025 is being transferred to KAMC. KAMC will also “acquire, maintain, and operate a portfolio of high-quality industrial and logistics assets, implementing strategies for asset-level value creation and preservation”, according to a statement issued by ADPG. KAMC was set up in October 2022 with the sole purpose of managing these types of assets owned by the Kezad Group.
“The establishment of KAMC is a pivotal step in our strategic expansion,” explained Abdullah Al Hameli, CEO of ECFZ. “Through this new venture, we are fostering a dynamic ecosystem of growth and innovation in the industrial and logistics sectors.”
He added: “KAMC is uniquely positioned to drive sustainable value and contribute significantly to the economic diversification of Abu Dhabi and the wider region.”
KAMC’s business includes deal sourcing and management, leasing and property management, joint ventures and limited partnerships and risk management. It is able to leverage on the experiences and expertise of existing units within the ADPG group.
KEZAD Group, itself operates 12 economic zones (located in Abu Dhabi City, Al Ain City and Al Dhafra Region) covering a total area of 550 km2 and 40 staff accommodation complexes under its subsidiary KEZAD Communities.
