Shenzhen, Long Beach ports, South Coast AQMD sign green framework
NewsThe Port of Long Beach and its partners signed a memorandum to collaborate on decarbonising ocean trade in the Pacific Rim.
Riyadh-based Bahri Logistics has signed an agreement with Saudi Arabia Railways (SAR), the owner and operator of the country’s rail network and partner in the Gulf Cooperation Council rail project, to act as the company’s primary freight forwarding service provider. The deal covers both imports and exports.
Commenting on the agreement, Eng. Basalom said: “Since its inception, SAR has been instrumental in shaping the Kingdom into the vibrant, economically diverse, and interconnected place it is today. We at Bahri Logistics are incredibly proud to partner with such a crucial national company. Leveraging expertise gained over several decades, we will deliver seamless freight forwarding services to SAR and its customers in line with the highest global standards.”
SAR’s Eng. Al-Omair said: “Bahri Logistics has established itself as one of the Kingdom’s most trusted industry partners, and we look forward to enhancing SAR’s offerings in the coming years through this partnership. We hope that this alliance will strengthen our capabilities and contribute to the continued growth and success of both organizations.”
Bahri Logistics, which is one of six business units of Bahri – the country’s national shipping company – has over 40 years experience in the supply chain sector, offers a full suite of freight forwarding, storage and distribution services.
The agreement was signed by Eng. Soror Basalom, president of Bahri Logistics and Eng. Salah bin Abdullah Al-Omair, VP for shared services at SAR (see picture).
