Mike Andaloro is retiring shortly from PSA BDP, prompting a number of personnel reassignments; HGK Shipping Group confirms consolidated intermodal business appointments, and there is a new appointment at the group’s Wijgula affiliate; new appointments at DAKOSY, Swire Bulk and Inchcape Shipping Services; change at Port of Wellington; new CEO for VTG; appointments at DHL Supply Chain and at Dachser

Singapore: PSA International has announced the retirement of Mike Andaloro, CEO, PSA BDP, its Philadelphia (PA), USA-based affiliate, and concurrently its CEO, Sales and Operations. Wan Chee Foong, currently Regional CEO, Middle East South Asia and Head of Group Business Development, PSA, will be appointed as CEO PSA BDP from 3 October 2023. Andoloro will remain in office till the end of September to support the CEO transition process. Vincent Ng, currently CEO Enterprise Growth/CFO PSA BDP, will concurrently take over Chee Foong’s dual role of Regional CEO MESA and Head of Group Business Development, PSA. Hector Gonzalez, currently COO of PSA BDP, will be promoted to CEO Sales & Operations, succeeding Andoloro in the leadership of the key commercial and delivery engines of the business, and becoming a member of the PSA Senior Management Council.

 

As previously reported, The HGK Group in Cologne has consolidated its Rhine and Ruhr container terminals under the wings of a newly-created company, HGK intermodal GmbH, which now manages the facilities in Cologne (Köln), Düsseldorf, Duisburg and KrefeldMichaela Przybylla, CEO of the terminals in Duisburg and Krefeld, and Markus Krämer, CEO of HGK Logistics and Intermodal (Neska), have been appointed joint managing directors of the new company, which is charged with developing additional services. Also appointed to the management team of the new company are Oliver Grossmann (Köln) and Dirk Meyer (Düsseldorf). Separately, inland shipping company Royal Wijnhoff & Van Gulpen & Larsen BV (Wijgula), a Dutch-based affiliate of HGK Shipping, is broadening its management team. Simon Lucas will become the third general manager, alongside Norbert Meixner and Egbert Schelhaas.

Hamburg, Germany: The Supervisory Board of DAKOSY AG has appointed Simon Lembke to the Board of Directors of DAKOSY AG as of 1 September, 2023. As Board member, Lembke will be responsible for the areas of development, data center management and support. He has been with DAKOSY since 2004, most recently as manager of the department for customs and forwarding applications. The Board of Directors also includes Ulrich Wrage and Dieter Spark and the latter will retire at the end of the year after many years of service on the Board.

 

Henrik Sleimann Petersen is rejoining Swire Bulk as head of asset management and M&A, and returning to Singapore after two years as EVP, Asia Region, Ultrabulk. Petersen has worked for Swire Bulk and Ultrabulk at different times in the last 20 years and has also worked for Eitzen Bulk (USA), Inc.

 

The chairman of the Port of Wellington in New Zealand, Lachie Johnstone, has announced the appointment of Jason McDonald as a Director of the Board. He has 30 years of experience in the electricity industry and, said Johnstone, he will bring technology and infrastructure investment knowledge with him. McDonald is an independent director of Wellington-based electricity distributor Orion.

Hamburg, Germany: Alberto Nobis will take over as the new CEO of VTG GmbH on October 1, 2023. joins VTG from the DHL Group, where he served the DHL Express division in increasingly complex roles, culminating in the position of global CFO (2009-2012). He later assumed general management positions at the national, regional and global levels. In his most recent position, from early 2019 until summer 2023, Nobis served as CEO Europe at DHL Express.

Inchcape Shipping Services (ISS) has appointed Harun Duzgoren as Regional CEO for the Americas, effective September 1, 2023. Prior to joining ISS, Duzgoren served as the Chief Commercial Officer of Miami (FL)-based Subsea Global Solutions.

 

Following Jan Willem Winkelhuijzen’s recent appointment as Chief Supply Chain Management Officer for the Aramco/DHL Supply Chain Procurement & Logistic Hub joint venture, Nico Schütz, previously CEO of DHL Supply Chain Middle East, has succeeded Winkelhuijzen as CEO of DHL Supply Chain France. Schütz, joined DHL Group in 2006 in DHL Consulting and moved to DHL Supply Chain in 2012. He has held several senior positions in Germany, Slovakia, France and the Middle East.

 

Andreas Kayser has been appointed as General Manager of Dachser for the Northeast region of the USA, with responsibility in New York (the regional HQ), Boston and Baltimore. He joined Dachser in Germany in April last year as national account manager within the Air & Sea Logistics, EMEA business unit. Prior to that he was employed by Gebrüder Weiss and BDP. Robert Crimmins has been appointed branch manager for the Boston branch.
