Arica invests in surveillance

Chile’s Terminal Puerto Arica (TPA) has commissioned a US$500,000 telesurveillance control centre, hard on the heels of receiving three new Kalmar reach stackers, which cost US$1M. The new CCTV centre covers 102 high-resolution cameras in addition to those already maintained by the terminal. The system includes five CCTV drones that provide an aerial view of the terminal to better appreciate operations.
