The Hampton Roads Shipping Association is preparing to launch an online portal to allow ILA members to accept daily jobs without going to an ILA hiring hall.

Harold Daggett, the newly-elected president of the International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA), has vowed that the ILA will prevent any more automated facilities from opening on the US East and Gulf coasts, the ranges covered by the ILA.
