Lake Volta Container Transport Corridor

Work has begun on developing the Lake Volta Container Transport Corridor to connect landlocked countries in the Sahel region to the Ghanaian port of Tema. New ports and supporting infrastructure will be built at the southern and northern (Debre port) ends of Lake Volta, to cater for cargo moving between northern parts of Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mali and Niger.
