Finland is home to a number of global and/or innovative container handling equipment suppliers. Buoyed by rising container throughput levels, Kalmar – perhaps the container industry’s equivalent of the Nokia mobile phone success story – will achieve excellent results this year. This bodes well for its demerger prospects from the main Kone Corp, to take place under the Kone Cargotec banner next year.
