Kazakhstan plans new China-Russia transit route
NewsKazakhstan is developing a new trade route from China to Russia via the Irtysh River, with a port and railway planned, aiming for completion by 2026.
The famous (or infamous) Russian Biezdarozhneetza (“roadlessness”) has been conquered in Siberia. Last September the first truck started rolling on a new, 1350- mile road between Chita and Khabarovsk, the so-called Amur Road, which skirts the border with China. The link was officially completed last month.
