Cavotec’s vacuum mooring takes hold at APMT’s MedPort Tangier
NewsCavotec’s vacuum mooring system has been inaugurated at APM Terminals MedPort Tangier.
Vacuum mooring technology has been used successfully to dampen vessel motions in long wave conditions at the Port of Salalah.
Mooring System Limited (MSL) of New Zealand produces a range of vacuum mooring products that moor a ship without ropes. Units have been in service in Australia and New Zealand for several years and some of these have performed over 15,000 moorings.
