In recent years, the challenge has been to cater for “new” industry segments, such as wind energy, and other outsize and very heavy project cargoes.

This business has provided a “lifeline” for the big truck industry in the past two years, during which demand from traditional sources, such as steel, forest products, construction and container handling, has plummeted.
