Kalmar inks forklift deal with BlueScope
NewsAustralian steel producer BlueScope has ordered 13 Kalmar forklift trucks for its Western Port steel processing facility.
After being adjourned on the first day of official hearings on May 31, when the New South Wales Government directed Sydney Port Corporation (SPC) to re-submit its Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to incorporate an alternative proposal put forward by P&O Ports (see WorldCargo News June 2004, p9), the Commission of Inquiry (CoI) into the proposed third container terminal at Port Botany (PB3T) resumed in mid October and quickly became the scene of a number of revelations.
