Converteam to go to GE Energy

Subject to regulatory approval, Converteam is to be sold to GE and integrated into GE Energy as its “centre of excellence” for power conversion.

According to a Converteam statement, the deal will enable it to increase its global reach in a market where critical mass is key to remaining competitive and to seizing new business opportunities in emerging markets such as China, India and Brazil.
