The US Port of Umatilla, Washington State, has recently taken delivery of a widespan gantry crane for barge and landside handling from Ederer cranes of Seattle. It was fabricated at Ederer’s facility in Seattle and is thought to be the first container crane manufactured in the US for a number of years.

Ederer has a long history in crane fabrication and in 2003 was purchased by PaR Systems, a specialist in robotic and remotely-controlled industrial cranes.
