New terminal for Civitavecchia

Civitavecchia, the closest port to Rome, is to have a container terminal with a capacity of up to 1.5M TEU.

The project was announced by Pasquale Monti, president of the Civitavecchia Port Authority (APC) at the “Two Mediterranean Days” event organised by the port last month. “The new facility will be able to accommodate large containerships and will be located near the Grandi Masse energy dock,” he said.
