The first 3 TEU “gigaliner” rig for general road transport over the Port of Hamburg turned up last month at HHLA’s Tollerort container terminal. As previously reported, some 400 gigaliners are currently being, or will soon be, tested in a controversial programme in Germany, even though most states have refused to take part in what is a Federal Transport Ministry initiative.
