A joint venture comprising BAM Nuttall and Van Oord has been awarded a £75M contract by Peel Ports as part of its £300M scheme to create a new container terminal (Liverpool2) on the Mersey estuary in Liverpool. Once complete, this new facility, which will be open for business in 2015, will be able to accommodate two vessels of up to 13,500 TEU simultaneously.
