Wings for Airbus’s new A380 aircraft will be moved by a speciallydesigned ro-ro barge on the River Dee from the production plant at Broughton to the Port of Mostyn (or Liverpool). The so-called Dee River Craft (DRC) – to be named AFON DYFRDWY (River Dee in Welsh) – is being designed and built by MacTay Marine Ltd at its Bromborough, Wirral, yard.
