Cavotec secures orders from two Mediterranean ports
NewsCavotec secured €6.5m in orders to supply shore power systems to two Mediterranean ports, enabling emission-free docking for cruise ships and RoRo vessels.
Wireless first for Cavotec
Cavotec Group, together with partners Wärtsilä, ferry owner Norled, power company Haugaland Kraft, marine engineering services provider Apply, and shipbuilder Fjellstrand, has taken a major step forward in electricpowered ferry technology with the “world’s first successful testing of a combined wireless induction charging and automated mooring system with a hybrid passenger ferry”.
