China’s major ports handled 12.68 mill TEU in the first quarter of this year, up 24.7 per cent over the same period of last year. Nearly 95 per cent of the boxes – 11.95 mill TEU – were moved through seaports, up 25.7 per cent, with river ports handling 735,000 TEU.
