Though bamboo and bamboo/ pine composite plywood container flooring, developed in response to environmental challenges to reduce the industry’s dependence on tropical hardwoods, has been available since the mid-1990s, there has hitherto been no proven insecticide formulation suitable for the glueline treatment of bamboo that meets Australian Quarantine & Inspection Service (AQIS) requirements.
