The European Commission has launched a “profound” investigation into the Dutch taxation regime for seaport authorities. The EC investigation will assess whether the Dutch seaports’ exemption from paying corporate tax violates EU regulations. The scrutiny involves Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Zeeland Seaports, Groningen and Moerdijk.
