The future of Hong Kong’s loss-making River Trade Terminal (RTT) has become uncertain after the government won a court ruling that will limit the five-year old facility to handling containers coming from the Pearl River Delta in south China.

The Court of Appeal overturned last year’s High Court ruling that allowed the RTT to continue handling ocean-going ships coming from other Asian ports.
