Union slams Dover privatisation plans

Britain’s largest trade union, Unite, has thrown down the gauntlet over the Dover Harbour Board (DHB)’s plans to privatise the Port of Dover, the UK’s largest ferry port.

Unite has issued a challenge to DHB CEO, Bob Goldfield, to meet with the workers and their families to reassure them that their jobs, conditions and the future stability of the port will not be sacrificed by his privatisation plans.
