GHA has been accused of subsidising the CAMT project, but maintains that the loans are on strictly commercial terms and are not linked to the terminal’s profits.

This means that, apart from possible short-term, “pump priming” incentives, Ceres has to make a proper return and rely on its superior ship handling service to win and retain business. This line has been consistently taken by Ceres’ president Chris Kritikos.
