The “Steelbridge” linking the AvestaPolarit (AP) mills in Avesta, Sweden, and Sheffield in the UK has been completed with the opening of the new rail terminal at DFDS Tor Line’s Nordic Terminal (NTL) in Immingham. Intermodal flats can now be carried between the two mills, without any intermediate rehandling of the products they carry, in a fully integrated rail-sea-rail system.
