Biggest ever order for auto clamps
In what is believed to be the biggest ever deal for automatic paper roll clamps for lift trucks in a stevedoring environment, Barloworld is sourcing around 30 “smart” AFC (adaptive force control) clamps from Cascade Corporation for Project Enterprise, Forth Ports’ dedicated new import and distribution facility for StoraEnso in Tilbury. As previously reported (WorldCargo News June 2004, p12), Barloworld was mulling the AFC design and the Bolzoni Auramo “intelligent” clamp.
