Sri Lanka’s Export Development Board is planning a US$4 bill expansion of Colombo port because current container handling capacity has reached saturation point and Indian transhipment cargo is being lost to Dubai, Singapore and ports in Malaysia, the Board’s chairman Ratna Sivaratnam told the South Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Chennai.
