A major government study has come out strongly in favour of channel deepening for the ports of Melbourne and Geelong and identified a host of port and modal priorities

A 136-page audit report by Victoria’s Department of State and Regional Development (DSRD) on the Transport, Distribution and Logistics (TDL) sector, released last month, provides an in-depth analysis of the infrastructure that underpins the sector and also considers issues central to competitiveness and best practice provision of services. The report was compiled following a comprehensive process of interviews, consultations, public forums and industry workshops and is viewed as a blueprint for change.
