Carbon capture means big gains for modest UK port
NewsA UK engineering consultancy is assessing a multi-billion pound carbon capture and shipping hub project in South West England.
Finland-based Mantsinen Oy has handed over its first rail-mounted crane, fitted with a 355 kW electric motor, to bulk operator M Zietzschmann in the Port of Duisburg. The 140 ER has a clear height under the portal of 5.2m and the rail centres are at 14m. It spans two rail tracks but mostly transoads from vessel to road trucks Self-weight is about 170t. The travel reel and sliprings are from Cavotec (Specimas) and long travel is 40m + 40m.
