Singapore – world’s leading shipping centre for 11th consecutive year
NewsSingapore has been recognized as the world’s leading shipping centre for the 11th year, due to its strategic location and strong maritime ecosystem.
PSA Singapore Terminals has awarded a S$1.92B (US$1.27B) contract to a consortium that includes Japan’s Penta-Ocean Construction Co to develop 13 container berths at the Phase II development of Pasir Panjang Terminal (PPT).
The other partners in the joint venture are Koon Construction & Transport Co of Singapore, Hyundai Engineering & Construction Co of South Korea and Van Oord Dredging and Marine Contractors of the Netherlands.
