Huge coke shift to rail

ThyssenKrupp Metallurgical Products (TKMP) has shifted traffic of foundry cokes from road to rail. Using “Black-BoxX” dry bulk containers, around 200,000 tpa of Polish and Czech cokes will be railed to ThyssenKrupp Stahl blast furnaces in Germany and Denmark. The modal shift will save around 8,000 truck trips, with an aggregate 6.4M km each year.
