One longstanding provider of financing/resources for container investment is US-based CIT Group, although this firm has adopted a relatively low profile during the past two years. This followed its merger with New Court Credit Corp (NCC- of Toronto) in 1999, and subsequent takeover by Tyco Group in early 2001.
