Dear Sir, The tests carried out by ABCNews (WorldCargo News September 2003, p36) and the incident involving box cutters planted on airliners by a college student clearly show that neither the container industry nor the airline industry provide effective security against asymmetric warfare. More than two years after 9/11 and not much has changed to recognise and defeat a devastating type of warfare never before encountered by any government.
