As noted in the latest WorldCargo News RTG market survey (October 2000, pp28-30), the two RTGs being supplied to Maersk-Sealand in Houston will be the 100th and 101st RTGs from Konecranes since the company entered this market in 1995 with its RTG-16 (16-wheeled RTG) design. “This RTG sets the standard by which all other RTGs should be judged,” remarks Konecranes’ director of container handling Ilpo Hakala.
