First automated cranes for Austria
NewsThe new terminal in Graz will accommodate 10,000 TEU storage, served by two Kuenz RMGs for automated operations, targeting 720 moves daily.
Intercontainer-Interfrigo (ICF) reports that traffic on its “Butterfly” block train service between the Port of Trieste and Austria, marketed jointly with Alpe Adria, rose by 20 per cent in the first half of 2001 to 11,500 TEU.
The increase is attributed to the attractiveness of this Day A/Day B block train service, whose timings are closely co-ordinated with major Austrian freight forwarders. Butterfly was originally launched in 1998 and trains operate four times/week northbound and five times/week southbound.
