News-in-print

Capacity at the Port of Liverpool’s Royal Seaforth container terminal is being expanded with the addition of 5,000 extra ground slots. Work is scheduled for completion by the end of October.

Owner Peel Ports says an upgrade to the TOS, a new Wi-Fi network, activation of a new Global Positioning System (GPS) for the port’s straddle carriers and the roll-out of an in-house designed SMART Vehicle Booking System (SMART VBS), have already led to a 30% increase in vehicle turnaround times.
