New Zealand’s leading port, Auckland, has seen a fall in breakbulk volumes offset by a container throughput rise resulting in continuing overall growth in 2000/01. Total volumes (breakbulk and containers) increased from 12.8 mill tonnes in 1999-2000 to 13.3 mill tonnes in the latest 12 months.
