The strategy of developing Aden as a sea/air intermodal hub, offering a faster alternative to all-water shipments, has been given a boost by a new joint venture agreement between Yemenia (Yemen Airways), the Port of Aden and Yemen Free Zone Public Authority to set up and operate a US$15 mill cargo village at Aden International Airport, starting in 2004.
