In an unprecedented three-country approach, nine inland ports in the Upper Rhine region have set out to explore closer co-operation, particuarly aimed at enhancing rail connections. The string of ports enjoys EC recognition as being instrumental in the Rotterdam-Genoa corridor, a key TEN-T freight corridor.
