A new idea for temporarily reclaiming land from the sea using old ISO containers is being tested in the Port of Rotterdam. Last month four modules with a total of 24 containers were set down on the bed of the port. The top will be covered with sand and then paved. The containers will remain in this trial position until the beginning of next year.
