The New World Alliance (NWA) of APL, MOL and HMM is considering shifting completely from Rotterdam to Antwerp, or so says C van der Linden, HMM’s general manager for Benelux. NWA’s existing two-year contract with ECT (Delta Terminal) runs out at the end of this year. Some 200,000 TEU/year is believed to be at stake, in a bid to force ECT to lower its tariffs.
