The Japanese Ministry of Finance has awarded two contracts to install large X-ray cargo inspection systems at the Customs offices in Osaka and Kobe to the Japanese-American team of Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI) of Tokyo, and Bio-Imaging Research Inc (BIR) of Lincolnshire, Illinois, USA.
