The Japan Cargo Handling Mechanization Association, based in Tokyo, has updated its regular survey of ship-to-shore container cranes in Japanese ports.

The report, which has been published every two years since the early 1980s, is available in Japanese only but the salient points have been summarised in English for WorldCargo News by Dr Itsuro Watanabe of Container System Technology, based in Yokohama.
